Massage Therapy

Massage is a technique that is utilized to relieve, rehabilitate and relax muscle tension or disfunction in the body. Deep tissue or relaxation massage are available in our office.

The deep tissue massage focuses on problem areas of the body. It releases adhesions, scar tissue and any other soft tissue disfunctions that the muscles may have. A variety of modalities are used to assist the therapist such as cupping, Gua Sha, heating pack/stone, kinesiology taping.

The relaxation massage allows the body to get into a state of calm that the muscles become fully relaxed. The therapist is then able to ease the tension within the muscle tissue without disturbing the relaxing aspects of the massage.

The benefit of both modalities is to relieve the muscles and connective tissue, help improve the rang of motion and heal injuries below the surface.

Smooth stones are heated and then lubricated with oil or essential oils. The stones are then used as an extension of the therapist's hands and moved all over the body. Therapeutic effects from the heat are used to relax the entire muscle belly, allowing more movement, creating better blood flow to the area and flushing out any toxins in the muscle tissue. The use of massage stones induces deep relaxation and provides a unique feeling many find to be tremendously calming and centering.

Pregnancy massage focuses on addressing the special needs of expecting woman. Specially-designed massage tables, cushions, and side-lying postures are used to prevent putting pressure on the abdomen.​
